Shed slabs
Shed slabs are one of our most common jobs around Hobart, and the requirements vary a lot more than people expect. A garden shed slab is a very different pour to a slab carrying a six-bay machinery shed with a vehicle driving in and out.
We take into account what's going on the slab, whether the shed kit needs specific edge details or bolt positions, and how the site drains. We set out to the shed manufacturer's dimensions so the kit lands square first time, and we can pour a rebated edge or an apron out the front if you want a clean transition from the driveway.

Garage slabs
Garage slabs need to handle vehicle loads, drain properly, and finish flush with your driveway. We plan the levels so water runs out rather than in, and match the finish to whatever the garage is being used for — a smooth trowelled surface for a workshop or a lighter broom finish where grip matters.
Where a garage slab connects to a new or existing driveway we'll set the joint and the levels so the transition is seamless rather than an obvious step.
House slabs and structural pours
For house slabs we work to the engineer's plans and the site classification, handling excavation, base preparation, formwork, reinforcement placement and the pour. We work in with builders' schedules so the slab is ready when the frame is, and we're set up to move quickly once site access is available.
Hobart's sloping blocks often mean cut and fill, retaining considerations and stepped slabs. Because we do our own excavation, the earthworks and the concrete are planned together rather than by two crews with different ideas about levels.
