Our story
Keystone Solutions was built around a simple frustration: too much of the concrete going into Tasmanian homes wasn't going to last. Not because of bad luck or bad weather, but because corners were cut in the parts of the job nobody sees — the excavation, the base, the reinforcement, the fall.
Between us, our crew has over 50 years of combined experience in concreting and excavation. That's decades of pouring in Tasmanian conditions: sloping blocks, wet winters, tight access, and ground that varies from one side of a street to the other. It means we can look at a site and know what it's going to need before we start, rather than discovering it halfway through.
We're set up as a full crew, which means we can get to jobs promptly and keep them moving once we're on site. It also means we do our own excavation and site prep rather than handing it off, so one team is accountable for the whole result — from the first cut into the ground to the final finish on the slab.
Get it right the first time
Our guarantee is a promise about how we work: the job is done right the first time. You shouldn't be replacing a driveway a few years after paying for it, and you shouldn't be chasing a contractor to come back and fix something that was never done properly.
Practically, that means preparation we'd be happy to have inspected, materials that suit the job rather than the margin, and honest conversations about what a site actually needs. We're fully licensed and insured, and every quote is provided free and in writing so you know exactly what's included.
What we value
Quality over shortcuts
There are plenty of ways to make a concreting job cheaper that nobody would notice on handover day. We don't take them. Skimping on base prep or slab thickness is borrowing against the customer's future, and we're not interested in that trade.
Turn up when we say we will
Trades have a reputation for not showing up. We're deliberately the opposite: you'll know when we're starting, roughly how long we'll be, and you'll hear from us if anything changes.
Straight answers
If a job doesn't need doing, we'll say so. If there's a cheaper way that still stacks up, we'll tell you. And if what you're asking for won't work, we'd rather have that conversation up front than after the concrete is down.
Leave it tidy
The job isn't finished until the site is clean, the rubble is gone and you know when you can walk on and drive on the new concrete.
The work we're built for
We focus on larger, quality jobs — new driveways and full driveway replacements, shed, garage and house slabs, decorative and exposed aggregate work, outdoor entertaining areas, excavation and commercial concreting. If you're planning something substantial and you want it done once, properly, that's our kind of job.
We work throughout Greater Hobart and Southern Tasmania, and travel statewide for larger projects. Have a look at what we do or send through a quote request.
